Aquamatic 5200 Grain Moisture Meter

RVA

Isothermal 3-minute Stirring Number method (approved method of the ASBC) to segregate sprout-damaged barley. Utilize the SN result to predict safe storage periods of malting barley to assist in managing stocks of grain. Predict malt extract from barley and malt. Monitor the progression of malting. Falling Number

The Falling Number method was originally developed for wheat, but has recently been adopted by the malting industry. It detects sprout damaged grain, and barley that sprouted, or pre-germinated, rapidly looses its capacity to germinate when stored. Read more about Falling Number.

SKCS 4100

Inhomogeneous barley will not malt uniformly, resulting in lower yields and lower malt quality. The SKCS 4100 tests each kernel of a barley sample for hardness, size, weight and moisture content, and presents the distribution of each trait, as well as the averages.
