For all Inframatic instruments we offer the Windows-based PICS software for instrument administration, data collection and calibration development.

PICS is a powerful software package that helps you get the most value from your Inframatic NIR analyzer. The software contains tools for calibration development, calibration maintenance as well as handling and evaluation of stored analytical results. PICS is intuitive and easy to use. Many tasks utilize “wizards” – step-by-step guides to help you easily accomplish your intended task. For routine operations – to collect data for calibration development, analyze a check sample and save the result or to analyze a sample – simply click a button.

Connect your Inframatic to a computer with PICS and store analysis results directly on your hard disc
This procedure eliminates errors during transcription of analytical results from a printout to a computer. The value of NIR predictions can be complemented with the addition of supplier codes and other sample information that allows for easy identification, follow-up, and subsequent evaluation.

Monitor Inframatic performance with Check Samples to assure accuracy and analysis security
Frequent analysis of Check Samples allows you to monitor the performance of the instrument. PICS facilitates the use of Check Samples by automatically storing results, marking them for easy identification and retrieval, and by providing easy to understand graphical performance evaluation tools.

Easy to use report generator is included
Generate reports on analytical results and turn data into information. Reports can be generated after each analysis by simply clicking a button, thereby rapidly creating a receipt of the analysis result. You can also create a report on a series of data, sorting by product, time period, or by any other user-defined parameter. The information can then be displayed as histograms, trends or in statistical terms such as averages, min/max values for control charts
and standard deviations. To have reports blend in with your other documentation you can create report templates in MS Word®, using your company logotype for example.

Develop new calibrations for your Inframatic thereby increasing its versatility and value
PICS offers easy-to-use, yet powerful tools for calibration development. Collect data from your Inframatic for evaluation with the extensive graphic features of PICS. Save money by performing laboratory analysis on only the most important samples as highlighted by our unique software. When the calibration is finalized, simply upload it to the Inframatic and begin routine use.

Maintain your calibrations regularly and improve analysis performance
Use the calibration test feature to find out whether you need to make a bias adjustment. PICS tells you if a bias adjustment should be made and what the new bias setting should be. The change is then automatically implemented with the click of a button. The performance monitoring feature will save the check sample analysis results and present them graphically.

PICS is compatible with most Windows® software products
Copy and paste information between PICS and standard office software products such as MS Excel®, MS Access® as well as other Windows® database and spreadsheet products.

Each screen contains a “Help”-button that leads to instructions specific to the features and operations of that screen. The combination of the helpfile and the software’s intuitive design will allow you to master PICS within a few days.
